Program requirements include:

This is your chance to dive deep into real-world challenges and make a tangible difference in Gulf communities. Whether you’re interested in interning with a coastal conservation group, conducting impactful research, or engaging with local leaders, there’s a path for you. This project will help you connect your learning experiences in a cohesive manner. This is your project, so let your skills, your work, your research, and your personality shine!

Participation in Gulf Scholars group meetings and public programs

You are required to participate in 4 Gulf-related events or activities to complete the Gulf Scholars Program. These can be completed at any time during your undergraduate experience at UF.

  • Two Gulf Scholars group meetings. These group meetings will include team building, career talks, mentoring sessions, and professional development workshops on topics like effective civic engagement, science communication, and conflict management.
