Communities along the Gulf are facing complex environmental, health, and social challenges – all of which are exacerbated by climate change. These challenges will take leaders from many disciplines and diverse lived experiences to solve.
UF Gulf Scholars is an exciting new opportunity to earn your degree while doing meaningful work to promote stewardship, resiliency, and innovation in communities around the Gulf.
Gulf Scholars will have the chance to take Gulf-focused coursework; participate in internships, research projects, field excursions, and more; network with professionals and peers from many academic backgrounds; and work with faculty mentors and community partners on Gulf Impact Projects.
Students can engage at any level—by taking individual courses, attending events, or pursuing a UF Gulf Scholars Medallion.
